Since 1946, Highlights has delighted children with stories, adventures, brainteasers, and puzzles designed to help children become their “best selves” by using their creativity and imagination; developing their reading, thinking, and reasoning skills; and learning to treat others with respect, kindness, and sensitivity.
In addition to creating weekly promotional emails and web content, I worked on additional projects, such as:
- Creating a complex series of post-purchase trigger emails that were sent to customers who purchased gift items during a set timeframe. Emails were segregated by the age of the child and item purchased, and included a series of rules that prevented the customer from receiving repeat or irrelevant emails.
- Developing a series of Cyber Monday and Cyber Week emails. Cyber Monday 2019 saw a $50,000 increase over Cyber Monday 2018, which was the busiest day of that fiscal year. 2019 revenue from email was 62% higher in revenue from Black Friday through Cyber Monday 2019 than 2018.
- Writing the annual Holiday Gift Guide, which incorporated multiple stacked category pages, banners, and promotional tiles.
